Artifacts for the protection of operating staff from slags, flames, and high heat sources.

Welding cushion

The welding cushions’ main function is “blocking” the slags during the welding phases in order to protect the operators. They can be created with “standard” or “custom” dimensions (with different dimensions and additional accessories) to better meet the needs of end users. The cushions, in their “standard” version, are generally composed as follows:

VISIBLE SIDE

The main purpose of the materials used for the internal part is to protect the users. Their goal is to prevent the passage of heat, offering additional protection. Specific materials (Polyurethane, Silicone, etc.) can be applied to this side of the cushions to improve their performance.

CENTRAL SECTION

The central section contains glass felt mats applied in one or more layers, with different thicknesses. The mats are used because of the excellent technical characteristics in the field of thermal insulation.

CONTACT SIDE

Lastly, the materials used for the external side have the main task of “blocking” the welding slags. Three types of fabrics are mainly used, treated and primed with liquid microlite which reduces the possibility of adhesion of slags.

Typically, the ITG welder cushions are of standard dimensions 1000x500x40 (50), have a rectangular shape and are equipped with two handles.

Dimensions, materials, shapes, and additional components can be varied according to the needs of use: the cushions can be custom made to best meet the customer’s requests. Additional accessories such as handles, quilts and metal eyelets can also be added.

Fire Blankets

Fire blankets are a quick and easy solution to extinguish small fires and smother flames in different types of situations and environments. These products are easy and comfortable to carry and, thanks to the wide range of sizes available, they can be used both in the workplace and in everyday life.

Both versions, Insul.Fire® and BS 476, can be made to measure according to the user’s needs and can be supplied in both soft (envelope) or rigid (box) cases.

INSUL.FIRE® BLANKETS

Blankets that can be used in the event of small fires to suffocate the flames and to protect people and objects from fire.

They are available in standard sizes (from 90×100cm to 200×200cm) or even in their customized versions.

The single cases can be of the soft or rigid type, designed for wall mounting: this addition makes extraction quick and easy. The cases are also customizable with serigraphs.

The structure of these blankets makes them very easy to use: pull the lace positioned on the lower side to extract the blanket and place it on the flame

The uses of Insul.Fire® blankets can be used from various work environments to more everyday situations: kitchens, cars and industrial vehicles, places with high density of people, theaters, ships and many others.

Insul.Fire® blankets are produced following the standards defined by the European standard EN 1869: 2019 Fire Blankets.

BS 476 BLANKETS

Blankets made with glass fabric with silicon finish, mainly used for the management of small fires. Like the Insul.Fire® blankets, they are available in different sizes, with two types of cases (soft or hard) and are designed to be quick and easy to use and carry.

Partitioning systems

The partitioning systems, textile or rigid, can protect operators and objects from heat, fumes, slags, and dust. Manufactured with certified materials, these products represent real “barriers” that can be used in various types of systems to create safe working environments and, in the event of fires, to safeguard machinery.

TEXTILE SYSTEMS

Flexible systems made with glass fiber fabrics, ideal for protection from heat sources, processing slag and dust. These systems are usually installed in steel mills, foundries, and large carpentry. They can also be applied as dividing elements of the production areas within the factories. Made to measure, even with the addition of fixing systems designed according to the type of installation.

RIGID SYSTEMS

Rigid insulation systems composed of panels covered with heat-reflecting stainless-steel sheets. To optimize their qualities, these systems are installed on a frame and sealed with an electro-welding process. These rigid partitioning systems resist high temperatures, guaranteeing impermeability to dust and liquids. Made to design, in the most suitable dimensions for the type of installation
